Yasmin is an accomplished filmmaker, who graduated from the TV and Film department at the Lebanese American University. With a passion for storytelling, she has been actively involved in the world of filmmaking since 2018, directing impactful short films such as "The Survivor," "Mortal and Not Eternal," and "Room #20." Her dedication to the craft extends beyond directing, as she has also worked as a production assistant on the renowned television series "Aroos Beirut." Yasmin expresses her artistic vision through photography and experimental films, while also showcasing her talent in scriptwriting and developing TV formats. Her exceptional work has gained recognition, with "Mortal and Not Eternal" being nominated at the International Silk Road Film Festival. With a commitment to pushing the boundaries of storytelling, Yasmin continues to captivate audiences with her evocative and meaningful films.

A Syrian filmmaking student trying to shoot her film in Istanbul, where everything is materialistic.

Mortal and Not Eternal, one of Yasmin's remarkable directorial endeavors, garnered prestigious recognition within the global film community. This poignant short film left an indelible impression, leading to its nomination at the esteemed 10. International Silk Road Film Festival. The nomination serves as a testament to Yasmin's exceptional storytelling abilities and her commitment to creating compelling narratives that resonate with audiences on a profound level.

The survivor

Anees, a 55 years old man, wakes up early in the morning due to a bomb’s sound. After passing through his calm morning routine, he takes out his luggage from his empty closet. Before leaving the room, he takes a last look at it and remembers Karim, his 7 years old child, playing. After that, Karim vanishes and Rawan, Anees’s daughter, appears painting. She also disappears with the sound of a bomb. Anees leaves the room and stands in the hallway in front of the house’s door. This is not his first attempt to leave his house, but he decides to stay for another day. He goes back into the room, but this time he realizes that healing is the right choice and not escaping war.
